Cat Walk for Water is an annual Eco-friendly, environmental conscience fashion show. It’s held during Aveda Earth month, and money is raised to help make clean water accessible world-wide, through programs. At Aveda Las Vegas it was the third annual show, and it was a huge success. I was proud to say Mistress Design was featured in the show, and it was an honor to model great design. Sklyer Fae was the model for the Mistress Design(Modern Gypsy) made by Marianna Walker, and I was modeling a futuristic inspired two piece outfit made by the lovely Alana Agcaoili.
The Aveda’s Cat Walk for Water was a special event for my sister and I. Mari made another wonderful two piece outfit made of paper and duck tape for the event. I was lucky enough to model Alana Agcaoili’s wonderful top and skirt made of soda can tabs.
There were twenty-one different looks for the show, all made with recyclable materials. The show held an estimate 150 to 200 people, it was packed. At the end of the runway show all the models had to stand and be a live manikin for the people to observe the pieces.
In the end I truly enjoyed myself, I was so happy for my sister. We came along way. Now, her designs are getting featured in shows! Look out for more Mistress Designs as well as the Collection. Mistress is an organization and a brand that I’m affiliated with, look out for more information about that. Thank you to Alana for making that wonderful piece of art, and I can’t wait for next year!
